At Guaranteed Irish, we’re calling on people to #BuyGI this Christmas, i.e. purchase your gifts and seasonal goodies from our member companies.
We have 300 members nationwide, with almost a quarter of those represented in the gift industry – from up-and-coming designers to leading international food brands.
Throughout November, we’ve been shining a spotlight on these members. This work will continue over the coming month.
This Saturday, 2nd December, we’re partnering with the Irish Independent on a special 12-page ‘Guaranteed Irish Gift Guide’.
If you’re struggling to source the perfect presents for your loved ones, this will be essential reading. Whether it’s mouth-watering Christmas recipes, beauty fixes, winter woollies or hotel breaks, our guide will help you nail all your Christmas needs!
Published on a prime pre-Christmas retail date and featuring all our members in the gift industry, this is a fantastic way for GI member companies to show the quality products they can offer Christmas shoppers.
It’s free with Saturday’s Irish Independent, so make sure to grab your copy.
Guaranteed Irish at Gifted
Next week then, we’re off to Gifted: The Contemporary Craft and Design Fair at the RDS in Dublin. We’ll have a designated ‘GI Village’ at the event, which runs from 5th to 10th December.
Member companies trading in our ‘GI Village’ will include:
Emma’s So Naturals
Foxford Woollen Mills
Irish Country Hotels and Manor House Hotels
Other GI members will be exhibiting and trading elsewhere at the fair, including Brooke and Shoals Fragrances, Jando Design, The Chocolate Garden of Ireland, Rathborne Candles, G’s Gourmet Jams, and Celtic Tweeds.
In total, there will be over 500 exhibitors at Gifted, so it’s sure to provide thousands of gift ideas. We hope to see you there!
Another key element of our #BuyGI campaign is engaging with corporates and encouraging them to support our members this Christmas.
Millions of euro are spent each year on corporate gifts and Christmas cards. This is a valuable market segment, and one that has the potential to make a real difference in terms of the objectives of our #BuyGI campaign.
So, this Christmas, we have the following message for companies nationwide: when you’re choosing your Christmas cards and buying gifts for your corporate stakeholders, don’t forget to ‘buy GI’. Support Guaranteed Irish members in your corporate greetings and gift-giving, as well as in the home!
Supporting Irish Jobs
The reason why we’re running our #BuyGI campaign, of course, is because, by ‘buying GI’ this Christmas, you’re contributing directly to creating and retaining jobs.
Spending just €4 a week on products and services from our member companies creates up to 6,000 jobs annually. So we can all play our part this Christmas and #BuyGI to support Ireland.
