Irish Greyhound Board
The Irish Greyhound Board has announced a new membership with Guaranteed Irish. The announcement comes as the Irish Greyhound Board is getting ready to head to the UK and across Ireland to a range of events and workshops to promote Ireland and the organisation to tourist bodies at home and abroad. Each year the Irish Greyhound Board welcomes over 40,000 international tourists to Ireland and greyhound stadia across the country. France, Germany and the UK are the organisation's top three countries that international tourists come from.
"As a sporting organisation in Ireland we are delighted to be able to use Ireland's most trusted and recognised symbol for Irish goods and services while promoting Irish greyhound racing at home and abroad," said the Irish Greyhound Board's head of marketinig Orla Strumble.
"This weekend alone Shelbourne Park and Harold's Cross greyhound stadiums are welcoming almost 1,000 French tourists for a night of racing while they are over for the 6 Nations game. Attracting foreign tourists to Ireland plays a large role in what we do annually and we are looking forward to welcoming tens of thousands more people to greyhound tracks across Ireland in 2013 and beyond. The addition of the Guaranteed Irish symbol will give us extra credibility whilst we target new tourist audiences for 2014."
This year also marks the 55th anniversary of the Irish Greyhound Board and the 85th anniversary of Harold's Cross Greyhound Stadium.

MedColl® is a Guaranteed Irish health supplement manufactured in Ireland, under license by the Irish Medicines Board and registered with the FSAI.
Chilly Moo is a 100% unique and completely natural Irish Frozen Yogurt designed to appeal to children (and anyone else looking to satisfy their sweet tooth) with something that’s creamy and scrumptious but healthier than the usual options.
We launched our frozen yogurt in June and are now stocked in over 40 shops around Dublin and have just begun to move into Cork.
We have received extremely favourable media coverage in amongst others, The Sunday TImes, The Irish Times and The Sunday Business Post magazines as well as other magazines such as Image Interiors and Food & Wine. The Irish Handmade Glass Company
After the closure of the Waterford Crystal factory in January 2009, a group of Master craftsmen with a combined total of over 130 years experience in glass-making, came together and made the decision to set up a glass making facility of their own in the very heart of Waterford City.
Located in the new 'Kite Design Studio', The Irish Handmade Glass Company aim to bring the craft of glass making to life for visitors to historic Henrietta Street in the Viking Quarter of Waterford City. Watch in amazement as renowned Glass Master, Richard Rowe transforms the molten glass into works of art before your very eyes. Our aim, along with keeping the craft alive, is to create beautiful, affordable glassware, both crystal clear and also coloured which is not only pleasing to the eye, but also practical to use.
In these modern times the vast majority of glass making companies now use automation to produce their products. Here at The Irish Handmade Glass Company all our products have been hand made here on our premises in historic Waterford City. Our glass is a non-lead based crystal, ‘Crystalline’ which is melted from its pellet form in our purpose built furnace which produces 385 lbs of glass per day. We welcome visitors to our studio to experience our craft and see first hand how glass is formed in the traditional way.

There has been considerable interest in the product since it was seen on Dragons’ Den with expressions of interest from as far afield as Russia and America, and we have been overwhelmed by the interest in the product in Ireland from distributors, retailers and consumers.

Cathy's Spelt for Health
Cathy Whitty, the founder of 'Cathy's Spelt for Health' started her business after suffering from a severe allergic reaction leaving her hospitalised. Cathy was put on an exclusion diet to identify the food groups causing the problem. Wheat was to be avoided. Cathy set about to create an easily digestible bread mix for others suffering also with the common wheat sensitivity using spelt flour instead of wheat. She was soon distributing her range of spelt products to over 100health food outlets nationwide and travelling all over the country to meet the growing demand.
“We have witnessed a lot of interest in our wheat-free products since we launched our range a couple of years ago. The biggest problem is that wheat is so prevalent in Western foods and there are few alternatives available on the market. Spelt has long been recognized as providing an excellent alternative to those wishing to avoid wheat. Many of its benefits come from the fact that it offers a broader spectrum of nutrients and it's also been found to be much easier to digest than traditional wheat” says Cathy.
We are currently stocked in over 100 outlets nationwide. In the past few months we have won Two Gold Stars at the Great Taste Awards for our Flapjack Mix and most recently won joint Gold at The Blas na hEireann National Irish Food Awards in Dingle.
