Guaranteed Irish is a non-profit business membership organisation which champions homegrown and international businesses in Ireland that create quality jobs, contribute to the community and promote Irish provenance with pride. Established in 1974, GI represents over 300 leading businesses in Ireland across multiple sectors including food, technology, retail, pharmaceutical, construction, professional services, tourism and more.

Due to an increase in our membership, we’re expanding! We are looking for new team members who enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced environment and who want to contribute to making Ireland a better place to do business.

The new roles are currently based at our Head Office in Dublin 2.


BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our expanding team. The experienced candidate will be tasked with growing our membership and leading our sales team to success. The candidate will be required to build a strong pipeline of well-qualified prospects to meet sales targets and build successful long-term business relationships with new and existing members. You will have strong consultative sales skills and commercial acumen and effectively demonstrate how Guaranteed Irish can add value to businesses in Ireland.

This full-time role is based at our Head Office in Dublin 2 and will require some travel within Ireland.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, progress and harness a qualified and comprehensive pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Deliver and exceed on new high value membership targets in key sectors
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical sales initiatives to bring in new members
  • Lead and motivate our sales executives to success
  • Manage the new business sales pipeline and membership records in our CRM system (Zoho)
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts and reports using the CRM platform
  • Pro-actively build relationships with existing clients to retain membership
  • Travel to meet with members and prospective members around the country as necessary
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the GI brand, its values and its membership network
  • Identify and attend industry conferences and events representing GI

Required experience and skills:

  • Degree educated in business, marketing or related
  • Minimum 5 years working in business development role or similar in a B2B environment with an excellent sales record is essential
  • Ambitious and resourceful with a “can-do” attitude
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close profitable deals in a timely manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to win new clients and manage client relationships effectively to retain business
  • Adept at creating and delivering presentations to key stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills and proven experience managing and motivating a team to success
  • Excellent time management, administrative and reporting skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience using a CRM system, e.g. Zoho, and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A keen interest in business in Ireland and strong understanding of the Irish business landscape
  • A wide network of contacts
  • Full driving licence and own vehicle desirable

Compensation and benefits:

The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including a competitive base salary of €40,000 per annum + uncapped commission + bonus (OTE: €65,000-€70,000), company laptop and mobile phone, mileage and other travel expenses, 20 days annual leave and flexible working hours.

MEMBERSHIP SALES EXECUTIVE

Are you an ambitious, confident, sales professional? Do you have excellent communication, administrative and digital skills?

The ideal candidate for the Membership Sales Executive (full and part-time) will be a self-starter, with a proven track record in sales and customer service, who is results-driven and works well on his/her own initiative.

The experienced candidate will work as part of a small, busy team, and tasked with bringing in new members while managing existing client accounts to both grow and retain our membership.

The role is at our Head Office in Dublin 2.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prospect new sales and develop a qualified pipeline of new sales opportunities, managing through our CRM system (Zoho)
  • Taking ownership of lead opportunities and managing one’s own pipeline to close sales within forecast period
  • Pro-actively build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Efficiently handle inbound sales queries and outbound sales campaigns (over the phone and via email)
  • Maintain the CRM system and ensure records are accurate and kept current
  • Attend weekly team meetings and provide sales reports
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly membership targets and other KPIs
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the GI brand, its values and its membership network
  • Keep up-to-date with GI’s PR and marketing strategy, developments on GI’s digital platforms as well as GI’s calendar of events
  • Occasionally represent GI at key events

Required skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years in sales is essential
  • Very results-driven with excellent closing skills
  • Strong digital skills and experience using a CRM platform (e.g. Zoho)
  • Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail
  • A team-player with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a passion for customer service
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experienced working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English

Salary: Basic salary commensurate with experience + uncapped commission + bonus package
