Meet our Board of Directors
Damien McCann, Director of Sales & Marketing, has progressed through the ranks at Viatel, the leading Irish cloud and technology company and has developed a wealth of experience helping indigenous Irish companies and multinationals around cloud, security and telecoms strategies.
In 2016 Damien took over as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Viatel Ireland, an integral member of the leadership team tasked with transforming Viatel direction and quickly disrupting the traditional telecoms market in Ireland.
Prior to his appointment as Managing Partner at Matheson, Michael spent over ten years as head of Matheson’s Financial Services practice.
Michael advises many of the world’s leading financial institutions, investment banks, asset management companies, broker-dealers and corporations carrying on business in Ireland or from Irish vehicles.
Michael was a member of the IFSC Funds Group established by the Department of An Taoiseach to consider and advise on legislative and other changes which are necessary or desirable to facilitate the continued growth of the Irish investment funds industry. He was also chairman of the legislative sub-group of the IFSC Funds Group.
Michael has spoken at a number of international financial services conferences. He has lectured at the law school of the Law Society of Ireland on financial services law and is a regular contributor to financial services publications.
Camilla Cullinane is a Tax Partner with KPMG. She has over 17 years’ experience advising a wide range of Irish and multinational clients across many sectors including agriculture, property, hospitality and manufacturing.
She works closely with businesses of all sizes and their owners on all aspects of taxation. She has significant experience in advising these clients on a wide variety of issues including structuring their corporate affairs, financing arrangements, global expansion plans, rewarding employees, exit strategies and intergenerational transfers of wealth.
Camilla is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland, the Irish Tax Institute and has recently completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising the Family Business.
Paddy was appointed Managing Director of Tegral in 2010. Prior to this, he had been the Sales Director for a number of years for Tegral, and was formerly a Sales Manager and Sales Representative also at the company. He holds a degree in Business (Management).
Throughout his time at Tegral, Paddy has also been the Chairman of Octabuild, the Chairman of the Building Materials Federation, and most recently President of the Hardware Association of Ireland from 2013-2015.
He is currently President of the European Federation of Fibre Cement Manufacturers.
Ray previously held the position of Marketing Director for Musgrave Retail Partners since February 2004 where he was responsible for the strategic development and marketing of the SuperValu and Centra brands, as well as the corporate communications.
In recent years he has overseen the successful integration of Superquinn under the SuperValu brand. He has also cemented sponsorship as a core part of the brand’s community identity with the sponsorship of Tidy Towns, SuperValu’s partnership with the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship and the sponsorship of the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship by Centra.
Ray started his retail career in the US with WaWa Foodmarkets. In 1996 he returned to Ireland to join Coca Cola Bottlers Ireland and held various roles, including the position of Marketing Services Manager, prior to joining Musgrave.
Mairead McCaul is Managing Director of MSD Ireland (Human Health) and is also Head of the MSD Ireland Country Leadership Team which includes representatives from MSD’s six sites in Ireland and key business areas.
Prior to her appointment to her current role, Mairead was Business Unit Director, Oncology and Market Access, MSD Ireland (Human Health) and has a wealth of experience in senior roles across Sales Management, Marketing and Commercial Operations since joining MSD Ireland in 2007.
She is a passionate advocate of diversity and inclusion and she has led many programmes of activities to support this area, most recently acting as an ambassador for MSD’s 2020 Neighbour of Choice programme, Teen-Turn, as well as currently co-leading the MSD Women’s Network in Europe.
Brid O’Connell, MMII, MMPRII, MSc (Hons), was appointed as CEO to Guaranteed Irish in July 2016. Brid has a long career in marketing, branding, communications and PR. She has welcomed the opportunity to add value to Guaranteed Irish members through her revitalising and repositioning of the organisation to reflect modern Ireland in a global economy.
